Chewed up and spat out the other side of the UK’s Acid House scene, Neville Watson was bitten hard by the house music bug and has not looked back since.
After the obligatory few years partying in clubs, warehouses and fields he took up DJ’ing and opened the Mighty Atom record shop and label in Windsor. This path would ultimately lead to the infamous Checkpoint Charlie where he was to become a resident DJ, sharing the bill with Laurent Garnier, Andrew Weatherall, Colin Dale, Craig Richards, Slam and many more.

In 2006 Mighty Atom released its final 12″. Since then Neville has concentrated on releasing his own brand of deep and raw House on labels such as Clone, Dissident, and World Unknown and provided remixes for Conforce, Deep Space Orchestra, Azaris & III, Orgue Electronique and Penguin Prison.

2011 saw Neville take his successful partnership with his Bulgarian cohort KiNK out live on the road, armed with an array of synths and machines.

DJ’ing and live shows have taken Neville far and wide from sweaty basements in London and Moscow to the walls of an abandoned prison in Tallinn, visiting the dancefloors of the Sub Club, Berghain, Panorama Bar and Fabric along the way.
Neville and his brother, renowned photographer Gavin Watson, also published a book ,Raving ’89, through DJ History. A collection of photographs and tales from the year that House music and rave culture exploded.

May 2013 saw the release of his debut album Songs To Elevate Pure Hearts through Dutch West Coast weirdoes Crème Organization.

2014 has seen Neville remixing for the likes of Luke Solomon’s Classic imprint and Dom Cappello’s 7th Sign as well as releasing his first EP for Craig Richards’ The Nothing Special label. With further releases lined up for Crème Organization and a return to Don’t Be Afraid, his debut solo live show at Fabric in the bag there’ll be no let up for Neville.
